About the Fireworks Contest
The Madeira International Fireworks Contest features three spectacular pyromusical shows, each lasting 20 minutes, along the bay of Funchal. This year, pyrotechnic companies from Italy, France, and England will compete for the prestigious “Atlantic Trophy,” judged by an expert panel, and the “Madeira Belongs to All Trophy,” determined by public vote.

Celebrating its 20th year, the Atlantic Festival kicks off summer in Madeira with a vibrant array of cultural activities across the island, including Porto Santo. Besides the stunning fireworks, the festival includes multimedia shows, circus performances, summer sunsets, the Regional Arts Week, and the Funchal Lions Club Bread Fair.
